Ri-con Contractors specialise in providing quality
staff and subcontractors under adverse economic
conditions and in all geographical environments.
Recent project experience has demonstrated that
the Company has the ability to complete projects
on time and within budget.
Over the coming years, we anticipate that with
changes in the economic situation and a slowing
in the construction industry, trades people will
become more readily available. Competition in
the marketplace, building costs and wage rates
will have a tendency to slow allowing for better
pricing and greater choice of subcontract companies.

Our Company has a proven track record in the
timely completion of difficult development projects,
especially in remote and challenging regions.
The quality of the outcomes is the result of
our:
- expertise in remote area construction
- purchasing experience and:
- knowledge of logistical planning and delivery
for these remote regions.
Over many years the Company has established relationships
with local and national companies who are familiar
and experienced with the specific requirements
for these remote areas and have subsequently developed
work methods and supply chains to overcome the
many difficulties.
Ri-con uses a sister company, Ri-con Plant and
Equipment Hire, to maintain a consistent supply
of quality plant and equipment for all its projects.
Ri-con Plant and Equipment Hire supplies and maintains
all vehicles and equipment that are necessary
for the successful completion of any project.
‘Controlling the
impact of material price rises for the duration
of contracts’
Ri-con uses a select number of suppliers for
the materials and equipment required on each construction
project. These suppliers have the ability to commit
to negotiated prices at the beginning of a project
and therefore the impact of price fluctuations
throughout the project should not arise.
In the event that suppliers are unable to supply
specific items in the course of the project, alternative
suppliers and/or alternative materials are anticipated
and sourced.
