NEWMAN 25 HOUSES, CLIENT: DEPT OF HOUSING
AND WORKS WA, 2009
We are constructing 25 homes throughout Newman
for four distinct end users – 8 homes for
hospital staff – 2 homes for local police
– 3 homes for local indigenous people and
12 homes for local rental.
We established a builder’s camp on the
outskirts of Newman and have utilised local businesses
for everyday needs such as fuel, equipment maintenance,
and food supplies.
By awarding major parts of the contract (e.g.
electrical, plumbing and civil works) to local
companies, a strong working relationship with
the local community has been established.
