Safety and Health in our Workplaces
At the heart of our values
is the Health and Safety of all our workforce.
To assist us in operating a thorough and effective
system we maintain an Occupational Health and
Safety system certified to AS4801:2001 –
Occupational Health and Safety Management systems
for the provision of building design and construction
services.
Project Managers and Site Managers are held accountable
for the introduction and operation of the Company’s
OHS system. Their performance is assessed on the
basis of audit results and the performance and
contribution of staff and subcontractors on the
work sites.
Safety and Health training is mandatory for all
staff and contractors working for the Company.
The Workplace Health and Safety Officer, based
at our head office in Cooroy, develops and delivers
safety training to Project and Site Managers and
they, in turn, deliver material to staff and contractors
on site.
Specific site safety training is included in
the Site Induction that is presented to all people
working on company projects. The induction includes
information about the specific project (including
identified risks and their controls) and general
health and safety information that is required
for work on the site
Safety performance is continuously analysed and
our procedures detail the responsibilities of
all staff in analysing health and safety performance
and how they can contribute to its improvement.
We are proud of our safety performance and continually
analyse it with the aim of eliminating risk of
injury to staff, subcontractors, and visitors
to Project sites.
